Amizero y'ubuzima organization
Build a world where children with intellectual disabilities are recognized.
Our Impact
We value people with disability, and make them active and responsible citizens striving for self reliance and contributing effectively to the development of their nation.
What we do!
We plan and support children with intellectual disabilities in Rwanda by equiping them with educational skills, healthcare, and community based rehabilitation. Through our educational programs, children are supported both home and in the school.
We Find
We find children with intelectual disabilities around Rwanda to train them. At the end of the training the students will be equipped with appropriate toolkit and guided to run their own small income generating activities (IGAs) through self-help groups and cooperatives.
We Provide Care
Throughout Rwandan history, people with disability have been subjected to abuse, ignorance and prejudice. One of our main reasons is to advocate for the recognition of the rights of children and youth with intellectual disabilities.
We Educate
Our children are smart and advancing day by day. We provide them vocational training that equip them with the skills of leadership, civic and the communiation with peers and caring adults. We want our children to have opportunities to grow and develop.
We grow and develop
For at least two years, children get vocational training and our main purpose is to make them independent people in their choices and hope that the skills we give will help them in their daily lives.
Our numbers that speak
We have numbers that push us to give in our best and make sure that we break our own records. Our children are our mission and vision. Through them we see the future.
